REGISTER FOR THE COABE VAACE 2012 NATIONAL CONFERENCE! Join adult education professionals and students from across the country for this joint national conference between the Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) and the Virginia Adult and Continuing Education (VAACE) , April 10–13, 2012 in beautiful Norfolk, Virginia, just minutes from Virginia Beach, Colonial Williamsburg, and other great attractions! Pre-conferences are scheduled for Monday, April 9th in the afternoon and Tuesday, April 10th all day, with the opening session of the Full Conference beginning on Tuesday afternoon, April 10th.

Adult Literacy Grants Available to Programs in 38 States

Dollar General Literacy Foundation Adult Literacy Grants award funding to nonprofit organizations that provide direct service to adults in need of literacy assistance.
Organizations must reside within any of the 38 states noted here, and provide help in one of the following instructional areas: adult basic education, general education diploma preparation, and English language acquisition.
The maximum grant amount is $15, 000. Click here to apply for the 2012 Adult Literacy Grant.
