IBM Skills Build Initiative
IBM SkillsBuild is a free digital platform that connects adult learners with a curated path of job-focused learning. The platform has been customized for COABE so that our members can track their students progress as they make their way through the badges and credentials. Users will be able to showcase their badges and credentials on LinkedIn, their job transcripts, and resumes.

COABE and Google have partnered to offer skills-building opportunities to COABE members
Our goal is to help as many adult learners, teachers, and administrators as possible access and complete and complete the certificates of their choice - at their own pace. We are providing a learning community of practice and have hired a mentor-instructor to lead this effort.
Grant Funding Opportunities Provided by NCCER
We are excited to announce the winners of a funding opportunity that is being provided to 25 COABE local programs that will launch a construction education training initiative. With a goal of creating sustainable pathways to one of the most in-demand industries in the country, NCCER (with funding provided by Lowes) is awarding a start-up bundle valued at $20,000.
